PMD-U: Basalt Hill-The First Dungeon

Destination: Basalt Hills Entrance

Team Steam Shell, along with other explorers like Team Inferno, stand in front of the entrance preparing to enter.  However, Aqua is starting to get cold feet.

The worried Hector looks at his granddaughter in concern.  "Is everything alright, honey?"

"Grandpa!", Aqua Answered.  "You've been on alot of missions that involves dungeons when you were young, right?"

"Of course, many times.  I remember my my first dungeon as if it were yesterday-"

Alexis from T. Inferno intervenes.  "Forget about reminiscing, it's time for you to tell us what were facing, old dude!"

"Ahem, right.  If I remember correctly, dungeons like this are filled with natural and unnatural hazards like floor traps, cave-ins, and hostile Pokemon.  And since its filled with water types, mainly Barboach, it's not the best place for fire types to explore in."

"Grandpa Hector's right, Alex," Daniel said.  "The two of us won't a second in there."

"Psh, you worrywart!  Don't you see this is our first dungeon mission?  She runs towards Aqua.  "Besides, we have a few members that can learn electric moves, right?"

"Did I mention that they are also part ground?" Hector corrected.

"Oh! Well... we're explorers, so it's our job to face anything, no matter how difficult it is."

"You prove a point there, kid!"  Hector agreed.  "Well everybody, let's go.  Hector leads away with the explorers following.

The group traveled together through the tunnel for a while until Hector suggested that they divide so that they can cover more ground.  Steam Shell goes with Inferno while Team Aberrant goes with Team Psychic Thunder.  And from a certain point, they went their separate ways.

"Watch your step, younglings.  Places like this are filled with hidden traps and all kinds of danger," Hector warned.

Aqua suddenly walked past her adopted grandpa. "Oh grandpa, we're explorers now!  We can take what this dungeon can dish--out?"  Then Aqua accidentally stepped on a trap tile and raining chestnuts appear from the ceiling.  Everyone looked up as they about to drop on Aqua.

"Uh-oh!"

"AQUA"

Alexis rushes towards Aqua and shoved her out of the way before balls of sharp spines could hit them. 

"Aqua, are you alright?"

"Alex?"

"WE'RE FINE!" the girls answered happily.

"What did I warned you to watch your step?  You could've gotten hurt."

"It's fine, Gramps.  Like I said, I handle this."

"Um guys," Daniel spoke.  "Sorry to interrupt, but how are we going to advance?  The floor is covers in chestnuts."

"I got it covered.  Stand back guys!"  And so, Alexis unleashes her flame wheel to roast the chestnuts to a crisp.

"Roasted chestnuts anyone?"

Everyone clapped for Alex not only for clearing the way, but for her control of flame wheel.  So everyone proceeded to the next room and spotted something from the distance.  When they took a closer look, they realized that it was an injured Pokemon lying on the floor.  Alexis and Aqua rushed towards the creature and found that it was a shiny Fennekin. 

"Oh my god," Aqua gasped.

Hector and the other came to get a closer.

"How's the kid?" Hector said.

"Not very good," Aqua answered.  She's too weak to even stand.  If we don't treat her soon, she'll die.  One of us needs to carry her back to town."

"I'll go," Alexis spoke.

"What?  Seriously?

"As a fricking heart attack."

Alright, but be careful out there Alex."

"Thanks, Grandpa Hector."  Alex picks up the injured fox and places her on her back.  "Go on without me guys, I'll take her back to town."

"Make sure you both get there safe," Aqua demanded.

With a smirk and a nod, she runs out of the dungeon in a huff, leaving behind her partner and the others to finish the mission without her.

Hector insisted, "Well everybody, I've spotted a meatroot and a spoolstone, so all we need is the last item."

"Hey gramps," Aqua spoke,  "When did you get those?"

"During the mission, of course.  Now let's hustle!"

Eventually, the gang finally spotted the construction workers near Wussy's door.  But they were beaten to it by two other teams they were with earlier.  But they were not alone; Luminous Forest along with other hunters like Aura Guardian and a Meinshao individual had finished disposing the barboach soldiers, including the psychic one.

"What are LR and the other hunters doing here?," Hector questioned.

Lady spoke, "To take the king to meet Robin."

"Robin?  You mean that shady Banette of the hunters guild?"

"Yes, that's the one."

"How did it go?" Aqua spoke.

"Well...," she awkwardly laughed.  "You see, when we all busted into King Wussy's lair, we tried everything to convince him.  We tried pleading with him, bargaining, an I even tried to seduce him.  Nothing worked until Libre decided to a... "little dance" for the king."

"What are ya talking about?"

"Just see for yourself,"  Doctor the Kirlia pointed to the direction where Libre, along with Princeton, and Alonzo are doing an embarrassing little jig together similar to the "Cha Cha Cha," which made King Wussy laugh and entertained. 

Hector and the other explorers looked on awkwardly and some of the hunters, including Jacob, facepalmed.

Meanwhile, all explorers and hunters left the dungeon with King Wussy at their side.  After saying their goodbyes, the explorers went to their destination along with the resources they needed and the hunters took the annoying king to Robin.

"Finally," Aqua sighed.  "It's all over!"

"So tell me," Hector talked. "How was your first dungeon mission?"

"It was exhausting but fun.  I usually don't like working too hard, but when you explore dungeons with friends, it doesn't matter."

Becker spoke, "Speaking of friends, it would have been better if Alexis were here."

"Yeah, I hope the little guy was alight.  But there was something that puzzled me, what was a Fennekin doing in a water based dungeon in the first place?"

"Hmmm....You got a mighty good point, Hector pondered"
